Timmins set to lift reduced load restrictions at 4 p.m. June 1, 2026
Reduced load restrictions for commercial motor vehicles and trailers in Timmins are set to be lifted at 4 p.m. June 1, 2026, on roads where the seasonal limits apply, according to a notice published by the City of Timmins.
The seasonal limits are used during the spring thaw, when roads are more prone to damage, and they affect how much weight trucks and trailers can carry on certain city roads.
The city said Timmins By-law 2006-6275 governs the seasonal load restrictions. The bylaw includes a list of affected roads in Schedule A.
The city also said reduced load restrictions are typically in place until early June and are subject to Section 122 of Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act.
In addition to the seasonal limits, the city said some Timmins roads have year-round load restrictions. Those roads are listed in By-law 2022-8708.
The city’s announcement described the change as applying to “applicable roads within the city of Timmins.”
