Timmins to begin city-wide overnight snow plowing at 9:01 p.m. March 11
Timmins plans to start a city-wide snow plowing operation at 9:01 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, and the work is anticipated to last all evening and continue into the day, the City of Timmins Public Works Department said.
The overnight operation coincides with Timmins’ winter parking ban, which restricts on-street parking overnight to help crews clear roads.
Public Works said crews will plow city streets, rural roads, laneways and parking lots across Timmins.
The city said the winter parking ban is in effect from Nov. 1 through April 30. Under the bylaw, parking on the street is not permitted on any day between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m.
The city did not provide a specific end time for the plowing operation.
