Timmins to close parts of Jubilee Avenue and MacLean Drive on Aug. 12 for school-crossing markings

Sections of Jubilee Avenue and MacLean Drive in Timmins will be closed on the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, so City of Timmins crews can complete school-crossing pavement markings.

The City of Timmins Public Works department says the closures will happen in two time blocks and will affect different parts of the city. The city is asking motorists to follow posted signage, use caution near work zones and take alternate routes where possible.

Jubilee Avenue will be closed between Rea Street North and Eyre Boulevard from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.

MacLean Drive will be closed between Jade Avenue and Polaris Road from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The city said the closures are temporary and tied to the pavement-marking work. The notice did not provide additional details about detours.
