Timmins Traffic Lights on Pine and Cedar Streets to Become 4-Way Stops
Effective Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., the traffic lights on Pine St. S. at Second Ave. and Third Ave. will switch to 4-way flashing red stops. This change also applies to the traffic lights on Cedar St. S. at Second Ave. and Third Ave.
Motorists should be prepared to stop. The first vehicle to enter the intersection has the right-of-way at a four-way stop. If two or more vehicles stop at the same time, the right-of-way goes to the vehicle on the right.
The changes aim to improve traffic flow in downtown Timmins around the Second Ave. Connecting Link detour.
