Timmins Transit On-Demand Service Delayed to September

The launch of the Timmins Transit On-Demand bus service for Porcupine and South Porcupine has been postponed to early September. The new tentative date is set for September 3, 2024. The delay is due to necessary changes in driver schedules and the need to meet collective agreement deadlines.

The Public Information Centre (PIC) scheduled for today at the Northern College gymnasium will proceed as planned. Residents can attend between 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to learn about the microtransit service, view the expanded route map, and see demonstrations on how to use the Timmins Transit On-Demand app.

Current bus services in Porcupine and South Porcupine will remain unchanged. Updates on the Timmins Transit On-Demand service will continue to be provided.
