Town of Cochrane hires new HR manager and Community Services director, starting May 19 and June 15

The Town of Cochrane announced May 1 that it has hired Tiffany Reaume as Human Resource Manager, starting May 19, and Terry Vachon to lead its Community Services department, starting June 15.

The hires fill two management vacancies, and Vachon’s role comes as the town restructures its Community Services department. The town said the restructured department will focus on infrastructure renewal, customer service and community programming.

Chief administrative officer Daniel Gagnon said the town conducted “competitive recruitment processes over the past several weeks.”

According to the town, Reaume has an education in human resources and has worked in the HR field in the mining industry in Timmins. The town said she is originally from Southern Ontario and has lived in Timmins for several years.

The town said Vachon is originally from Cochrane and has recreation and community service experience in a larger municipality in the Georgian Bay area. He is set to begin June 15 as the town’s Community Services director.
