Town of Cochrane says website will be primary source for municipal election information

The Town of Cochrane says its website will be the primary source for municipal election information throughout the election period, according to a message dated Aug. 14, 2026 from the office of the clerk/returning officer.

For residents looking for official election updates—such as deadlines, notices and voting information—the town is directing people to check the website so they do not miss key dates or changes.

The clerk’s office said the municipal website will include election materials such as key dates, information sessions, election packages, voter information, notices and other updates, and that it will be updated regularly as new information becomes available.

The town also plans to share election-related information through its official Facebook page and the local newspaper.

In addition to online and media updates, the town said several municipal facilities will act as secondary election information centres, including the Library, Tim Horton Event Centre and Polar Bear Habitat.
