Traffic disruptions planned at four Second Avenue intersections in Timmins on July 9, 2026
Temporary traffic disruptions are planned at four Second Avenue intersections in Timmins on Thursday, July 9, 2026, for pavement marking, with work scheduled from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The City of Timmins says crews will be painting crosswalks and stop bars, and that drivers should expect one-at-a-time closures of intersection approaches during the work window.
According to the city’s notice, each approach at each intersection will be closed individually while pavement markings are applied.
The affected intersections are Second Avenue at Pine Street South, Second Avenue at Cedar Street South, Second Avenue at Mountjoy Street South, and Second Avenue at Balsam Street South.
Traffic control measures will be in place during the pavement marking, and motorists are asked to obey posted signage and use caution when travelling through the area, the city said.
