Traffic restrictions planned at three Theriault Boulevard intersections in Timmins on July 17

Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place at three intersections on Theriault Boulevard in Timmins on Friday, July 17, from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., as city crews paint crosswalks and stop bars, according to the City of Timmins Public Works.

The work is scheduled to affect Theriault Boulevard at Vimy Avenue, the Sportsplex traffic signals, and Jubilee Avenue. The city’s notice outlines different restrictions at each location, including approach-by-approach closures at two intersections.

At Theriault Boulevard and Vimy Avenue, each approach to the intersection will be closed one at a time.

At the Sportsplex traffic signals on Theriault Boulevard, each approach will also be closed one at a time.

At Theriault Boulevard and Jubilee Avenue, the south side of the intersection will be closed. Motorists travelling eastbound on Airport Road will continue to have access to Theriault Boulevard via the ramp.

The city is asking motorists to obey posted signage, use caution when travelling through work zones, and use alternate routes where possible while the painting is underway.
