Water disruption possible on Diane Crescent in Timmins during emergency watermain repair Feb. 24, 2026
Water service on Diane Crescent in Timmins could be disrupted Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. while city crews repair an emergency watermain break.
The work may affect residents and businesses on the full crescent—Diane Crescent from Hart Street to Hart Street—where some properties could see a short-term loss of water or pressure, or brown or rust-coloured water.
According to the City of Timmins Environmental Services Department, the affected area includes Golden Manor.
The city advised people in the area not to drink discoloured water or use it for laundry.
The city said discoloured water is not harmful to health, but it can stain laundry.
If discoloured water occurs during the repair, the city advised turning off the tap for 10 to 20 minutes.
Once the work is completed, the city advised running the cold-water tap closest to the source—usually a laundry tub tap—for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the water returns to its normal colour.
