Water service disruption expected on Haileybury Crescent in Porcupine on April 2, 2026
Water service is expected to be disrupted on Haileybury Crescent in Porcupine—between Carlos Avenue and Lovers Lane—on April 2, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., as crews repair a watermain break, according to the City of Timmins.
The city’s notice says households and businesses in the area may experience short-term loss of water and pressure during the work, and that some taps may run brown or rust-coloured water.
If water becomes discoloured, the City of Timmins advises residents not to drink it or use it for laundry. The city says the discoloured water is not harmful to health, but it can stain laundry.
If brown or rust-coloured water appears, residents are advised to turn off the tap for 10 to 20 minutes.
After repairs are complete, the city advises running cold water from the tap closest to the water source—usually a laundry tub tap—for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the water returns to its normal colour.
