Weather report for Apr 24, 2025
Mostly cloudy skies to start the day across Northeast Ontario, with temperatures in the mid single digits this morning and reaching highs near 9°C in Timmins and a touch warmer in Kapuskasing and Hearst. Winds are light but can pick up into the afternoon, making it feel a bit cooler.
There’s a chance of showers developing by late afternoon for Timmins, Kapuskasing, and Hearst, lingering into the evening, so it’s a good idea to carry an umbrella if you’re heading out later today.
Tonight, temperatures will dip to just above freezing. Patchy fog and drizzle are possible overnight, especially closer to the James Bay lowlands and the Highway 11 corridor.
Looking ahead:
- Friday brings a similar pattern, with a mix of sun and cloud and afternoon highs around 11°C. Spotty showers are possible, especially further north and west.
- The weekend is shaping up to be milder, with Saturday and Sunday highs approaching 13°C and more sunshine breaking through, though isolated light showers can’t be ruled out at times. Temperatures will be seasonable for late April—great news for any early gardening or outdoor plans.
No significant weather warnings at this time. Spring warmth is slowly returning, but be prepared for changeable skies the next couple of days.
