Northeast Ontario is waking up to snow today. Timmins reports light snow with a temperature of -3.3°C, with periods of snow expected to continue throughout the day. Winds from the north at 7 km/h will make it feel closer to -6. Temperatures will hold steady near -3°C.

In Kapuskasing, the conditions are similar, with expected cloud cover and a 60% chance of flurries, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures will hover around minus 19°C overnight. Communities across the region should prepare for potentially challenging driving conditions, and dressing warmly against the biting wind chill is advised.

Looking forward to the weekend, Friday and Saturday bring a chance of flurries with highs around -17°C in much of the North.
