Weather report for May 08, 2025

After a mild start this morning across Northeast Ontario, expect partly cloudy skies today with a high near 16°C for communities stretching from Timmins and Kapuskasing through to Kirkland Lake and Hearst. Winds will be light and shifting southwest at 10–15 km/h. By tonight, temperatures dip to around 3°C with clearing skies and a light breeze—so it might be wise to grab a jacket if you’re out late.

Tomorrow, Friday, will continue the trend with plenty of sun and another pleasant high of 17°C. Light winds will keep the day comfortable for outdoor plans. Overnight, temperatures cool back to the mid-single digits under mostly clear skies.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday brings increasing cloud cover and a slight chance of showers in the afternoon and evening, but temperatures hold strong, reaching up to 18°C. Sunday looks mainly cloudy with a risk of light rain, and a cooler trend with highs around 12°C.

Overall, a very comfortable stretch for early May, but umbrellas may come in handy later Saturday and Sunday just in case the showers make an appearance.
