Weather report for May 09, 2025
A cool and mostly cloudy start to the day across Northeast Ontario, with temperatures this morning in the low single digits for Timmins, Kapuskasing, Hearst, and Moosonee. Daytime highs will reach 10°C in most communities, with brisk northwest winds making it feel a few degrees cooler. Occasional light showers are possible around Kirkland Lake and surrounding areas this afternoon and evening, but most communities will see dry weather with just a passing sprinkle or two.
Skies will remain mostly cloudy tonight, with lows dipping near freezing in rural areas. Fog patches may develop overnight, especially in low-lying spots, so take care if you’re out early tomorrow.
Saturday and Sunday continue the cool, cloudy trend. Expect highs of 9°C to 12°C both days, with off-and-on showers possible—especially Sunday. Not a washout, but bring a jacket and be prepared for damp conditions at times.
Looking into next week, temperatures gradually warm up with sunnier breaks expected by midweek. Until then, enjoy the fresh spring air, and don’t forget an umbrella if you’re making outdoor plans for the weekend.
