Weather report for May 15, 2025

A mild start for communities across the Northeast today, with temperatures hovering in the high single digits this morning and climbing to a comfortable 16°C by afternoon. Winds will be gentle from the northwest around 10–15 km/h, keeping things feeling fresh. Expect plenty of sun through the day, with just a few scattered clouds in the late afternoon and into the evening.

For places like Timmins, Kapuskasing, and Hearst, tonight will be cool but not cold—overnight lows settling around 3°C. No rain is expected, so outdoor activities and evening walks should be pleasant.

Heading into Friday, expect much the same: slightly warmer, with daytime highs reaching up to 18°C and staying mostly sunny—great weather for early gardening or a hike.

Looking ahead to the weekend, sunshine holds on through Saturday, with temperatures peaking near 19°C across the region. Clouds may start to build in late Sunday, and there’s a possibility of scattered showers Sunday evening, particularly in western parts of the Northeast.

If you’ll be out and about, remember the sun is getting strong this time of year—sunscreen and hats are a good call for extended outdoor plans.

No notable weather hazards expected as we round out the work week. Enjoy the run of pleasant spring weather—a great stretch for any plans you’ve got outdoors.
