Weather report for May 18, 2025
Good morning! It’s a cool and cloudy start for much of Northeastern Ontario, including Timmins, Kapuskasing, Hearst, and surrounding communities.
Expect mostly cloudy skies today, with a chance of light rain or drizzle this morning. The day will remain breezy, with highs only reaching around 10°C. Winds from the north will keep things quite cool, especially near exposed areas and the lakes.
Tonight, skies will stay mostly cloudy, and temperatures will dip to near 2°C, so it’ll feel chilly if you’re out late.
Monday will be similar, with clouds lingering and daytime highs just edging up to 11°C. The rest of the work week looks seasonably cool and unsettled, with isolated showers possible through Thursday, especially in the afternoons. Nights will stay on the cold side, with low single-digit temperatures expected.
If you’re looking ahead to the Victoria Day weekend, some improvements are possible. Early signs indicate more sun breaking through by Saturday, with a gradual warming trend and daytime highs approaching the mid-teens by Sunday. That said, some patchy showers are still possible, so keeping rain gear handy would be wise if you’re planning to be outdoors.
Keep a jacket handy and, if you’re gardening or working outside over the next couple of days, don’t be surprised by a quick shower or chilly breeze. Have a great Sunday!
