Weather report for May 19, 2025

A mostly cloudy Monday across the Northeast, with Timmins, Kapuskasing, Moosonee, and Hearst all starting off on the cool side. Temperatures will reach the low to mid-teens by this afternoon, with a chance of scattered showers for many communities. Winds will be gentle but persistent from the north and northeast, adding a bit of chill, especially near James Bay.

Tonight, expect overcast skies to stick around and temperatures to dip into the low single digits. Watch for patchy fog developing early Tuesday morning, especially in valley areas.

Heading through the workweek, expect continued cool and unsettled conditions as low pressure lingers. Highs will hover near or just above 10°C through Thursday, with on-and-off showers likely each day. By Friday, sun may break through, but temperatures will remain on the brisk side.

Weekend preview: If you’re hoping to get outdoors, Saturday looks partly sunny for most of NEOn, with temperatures rebounding to the mid-teens—much more comfortable than earlier in the week. Sunday brings a risk of light showers but also milder air, keeping things pleasant for outdoor plans.
