Yotvata brand Caciotta Peperoncino Cheese (250 g) is being recalled in Ontario and Quebec due to Staphylococcus aureus, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

The recall affects a dairy product sold at retail, and the CFIA has published specific package details to help shoppers identify the affected cheese.

The CFIA said consumers and retailers should not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product.

The recalled product is Yotvata Caciotta Peperoncino Cheese, size 250 g, with UPC 8 00395 0003017. The CFIA listed the code as LUG 26 and the best-before date as 31-05-2027.

Altra Foods Inc. is the recalling firm, according to the CFIA.

The CFIA classified the recall as Class 2 and assigned it identification number RA-82645.

The agency listed the recall date as 2026-09-16. The recall notice was originally published on 2026-09-18 and last updated the same day, the CFIA said.
