Black River-Matheson to Remove Half Load Limits on Roads May 30, 2026

The Township of Black River-Matheson announced in a public notice dated May 30, 2025, that seasonal reduced load limits, also known as half loads, will be lifted on all municipal roadways effective Thursday, May 30, 2026, at 12:00 a.m.

According to the Township's notice, this marks the end of spring thaw restrictions for roads within Black River-Matheson. The removal of these limits aligns with applicable legislation and by-laws.

The notice also expressed appreciation to residents for their cooperation during the period of restricted loads, stating this assistance has helped protect municipal road infrastructure.
