Black River–Matheson winter parking ban runs from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Black River–Matheson prohibits overnight parking on all township roads and in municipal parking lots from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. during the winter season. The restriction runs from Nov. 1 through April 30, inclusive.

Vehicles parked in those locations during the restricted hours may be ticketed or towed, the township said. The township says the restriction is intended to allow snow removal, sanding and emergency access.

The parking rule applies across the township, which includes Holtyre, Matheson, Ramore, Shillington and Val Gagné.
