CFIA Announces Recall of Raw Shrimp Products for Undeclared Sulphites in British Columbia

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced a recall on May 14, 2025, for several shrimp products distributed to retailers in British Columbia due to undeclared sulphites. The recall covers both Blue Harbour brand Raw White Shrimp and an unbranded Raw P&D Tail-On White Shrimp product.

According to the CFIA, the affected products should not be used, sold, served, or distributed. This recall is classified as Class 1 and is issued for distribution in British Columbia through retail channels.

The recalled products are:

  • Raw P&D Tail-On White Shrimp 26/30, 20 lbs (4 x 5), UPC 1 08 43237 00405 5, Best by: Jul 18 2026

The recalling firm is Seven Seas Fish Co. Ltd., according to the CFIA. The recall notice identifies the issue as undeclared sulphites and lists the products by lot number and best before date. The CFIA classified the recall as Class 1 and published the notification on its official recall website.
