CFIA Recalls Organic Euro Pumpkin Seeds in Ontario Over Salmonella Risk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Organic Euro Pumpkin Seeds distributed by Lennie Ciglen Distribution Inc. in Ontario because of potential Salmonella contamination. The affected products are 11-pound packages with UPC 2237370080425 and 22-pound packages with UPC 8745921495728, both marked with lot code 248964.

CFIA published the recall notice on May 13, 2025. The agency advises that the affected pumpkin seeds should not be used, sold, served, or distributed.

The recalled products, sold without a brand name, are categorized as food—specifically nuts, grains, and seeds. This recall is designated as Class 2 by the CFIA. The notification carries identification number RA-77449.
