CFIA Recalls Shrimp Products in British Columbia and Manitoba for Undeclared Allergens

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled North Shore Fishery brand Frozen Breaded Shrimp Patties and Frozen Tempura Shrimp Roll because they may contain undeclared egg, soy, and milk allergens. The recall was announced on June 4, 2025, and applies to products distributed in British Columbia and Manitoba.

According to the CFIA, the recall was triggered by test results indicating the presence of allergens that were not declared on the product labels. Individuals who are allergic or sensitive to egg, soy, or milk could face serious or life-threatening reactions if these products are consumed.

The affected products are North Shore Fishery Frozen Breaded Shrimp Patties (400 g, UPC 8 00794 39089 5, Best Before 2026.09.06, lot code VN443IV030) and North Shore Fishery Frozen Tempura Shrimp Roll (300 g, UPC 8 00794 39080 2, Best Before 2026.09.07, lot code VN443IV030). Both items are sold by Watson Enterprises Inc.

The CFIA states that there have been no reports of allergic reactions related to these products so far. The agency is conducting a food safety investigation, which could result in further recalls, and is working to ensure the removal of affected items from retail locations. This recall is classified as class 1 and identified by the code RA-77545.

The CFIA advises that recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase. The advisory is specifically for residents of British Columbia and Manitoba who may have purchased these items.
