Cochrane Planning Board Approves Consent Application for 243 Concession 6&7
The Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board approved Consent Application No. B2025-03 for the property at 243 Concession 6&7, Lot 26, Concession 7, Glackmeyer PCL 1855LG in the Town of Cochrane following a hearing on June 11, 2025.
The approval is subject to several conditions published in the Board's decision dated June 16, 2025. These include payment of any outstanding municipal taxes, charges, or improvement taxes on both the lot to be severed and the lot to be retained. The applicant must provide a registered survey of the severed lot, prepared by an Ontario Land Surveyor. If all conditions are fulfilled within two years and relevant authorities confirm compliance in writing, the Planning Board's Secretary-Treasurer will issue a certificate under the Planning Act. If the conditions are not satisfied within this two-year period, the applicant must submit a new application and fee if they wish to proceed. The Planning Board issues no reminders on the expiration of this period.
The last day for appeals is July 6, 2025. Appeals must be filed with the Secretary-Treasurer of the Planning Board. Only individuals, corporations, and public bodies may file appeals; unincorporated associations cannot, but individual members may do so on behalf of such a group. Appeal forms are available through the Ontario Land Tribunal. If no appeal is received by the deadline, the Board's decision becomes final.
