Cochrane Road Work Will Impact Driveway Access; Some Projects May Extend Into 2026

Sections of road in Cochrane will undergo pulverizing and paving as part of a project announced in a municipal notice on September 18, 2025. The work will also include concrete sidewalk and curb or gutter improvements in selected areas.

Road sections were selected following inspections and consideration of future projects, according to the notice. Scheduling for completion may change depending on weather, and some work may be postponed to 2026 to allow for more suitable temperatures for paving and concrete work. This may affect when residents see work begin or finish in their area.

The Town stated that residents may be blocked from using their driveway for three to four days if new concrete is placed in front of the driveway, as the material must cure. Access for residents will otherwise be maintained throughout the operations. Properties affected by the road work will be restored at the discretion of the Manager of Infrastructure Services.
