Cochrane Seeks Mechanic for Infrastructure Services

The Town of Cochrane is looking to hire a mechanic for its Infrastructure Services Department. The position involves mechanical repairs of small equipment, light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, and mechanical certification of all town vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
• Current Truck and Coach Technician (310T) License. Candidates who can obtain this license soon may also be considered.
• Valid Ontario Class 'D' Driver’s License with 'Z' endorsement and a clean driving record.
• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic.
• Heavy Equipment Mechanic (421A) license and Automotive Service Technician (310S) license are assets.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work without direct supervision.
• Available for after-hours work for emergency breakdowns and seasonal activities.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Job Details:

• Location: Cochrane
• Immediate Supervisor: Infrastructure Supervisor
• Rate of Pay: $33.83 to $35.23 per hour
• Benefits: Benefits and Defined Benefit Pension
• Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Position Status: Permanent Full-time
