Emergency Watermain Repair Underway Near McIntyre Community Centre

The City of Timmins' Environmental Services Department has announced an emergency watermain repair affecting the area around the McIntyre Community Centre. The repair work is taking place on Father Costello Dr. from Vipond to McIntyre Rd., extending down McIntyre.

The repair began immediately and is expected to continue until approximately 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. During this time, residents in the affected area will experience a temporary loss of water service.

Following the completion of the repair, residents may notice discolored water, which could appear brown or rust-colored. The City advises that while this water is not harmful, it is recommended to avoid drinking it or using it for laundry, as it can cause staining.
