Hydrant Flushing Scheduled August 7–10 in Smooth Rock Falls

Hydrant flushing is scheduled in Smooth Rock Falls between August 7 and August 10, 2025, according to a notice from the Corporation of the Town of Smooth Rock Falls. The Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will carry out this annual maintenance on Fifth Street, Sixth Street, Maple Avenue, Pine Avenue, Elaine Street, Art Street, Breton Crescent, Trailer Park Road, and Hollywood Avenue.

According to the notice, residents in the affected neighbourhoods may experience temporary low water pressure or discoloured water while the hydrant flushing is underway. The town advises that if discoloured water occurs, residents should run their cold water tap until the water becomes clear.
