October 2024 Sees Rise in Canadian Industrial and Raw Material Prices

In October 2024, the Industrial Product Price Index (IPPI) in Canada increased by 1.2% compared to the previous month. This index, which excludes energy and petroleum products, saw a monthly rise of 0.9%. The Raw Materials Price Index (RMPI) also experienced an increase, rising by 3.8% from September to October. When excluding crude energy products, the RMPI rose by 3.1%.

These indexes are important indicators for businesses and policymakers to assess the economic landscape and make informed decisions regarding production and pricing strategies.
