Ontario Allocates Funds for Hospital Beds in Timmins

The Ontario government is allocating over $5,949,500 this year to support more than 41 hospital beds in Timmins. This funding is part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing hospital capacity across the province, which includes a total investment of $257 million to support over 3,500 acute, post-acute, and critical care beds.

George Pirie, Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Timmins, emphasized the importance of this investment for the local community. He stated that this funding will help ensure that residents in Timmins have access to necessary healthcare services.

Sylvia Jones, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, also commented on the investment, noting its role in expanding hospital capacity in the region.

This initiative is part of the Ontario government's efforts to improve healthcare services in the Northeast of Ontario, ensuring that residents have access to necessary medical facilities and care.
