Police Seek Public's Help After $2 Million in Damage from Early-Morning Timmins Incident
The Timmins Police Service and Cochrane District Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in identifying the person responsible for multiple intentional vehicle collisions that caused major property damage along Riverside Drive in the early hours of Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
The incident has significant community impact, with police estimating damages of more than $2 million, including destruction of a stolen pickup truck. The police provided a description of the suspect in order to assist residents in sharing relevant information with investigators.
Police report that at around 3:46 a.m., a stolen black and grey Ford F-150 pickup truck was seen being driven erratically, striking several commercial properties on Riverside Drive. The vehicle came to a stop after hitting a guardrail in a residential area on Sterling Avenue. According to police, a witness observed a young male suspect fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect was described as wearing a dark green sweatshirt with a light-coloured logo on the left chest and black shorts.
Investigators from the Timmins Police Service’s Traffic Unit and Criminal Investigations Division are continuing efforts to identify the individual responsible. According to Crime Stoppers, information leading to an arrest could make a tipster eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000. Tipsters will remain anonymous and are not required to testify in court.
