Public Hearing Rescheduled for Cochrane Land Severance Application
An application to sever land in the Town of Cochrane has been rescheduled for public hearing on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall on Fourth Avenue, according to the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board. CGV Developments submitted the application, which seeks provisional consent to create one new lot from property described as Part Lot 19 and Part Lot 20, Concession 2, Glackmeyer.
The hearing is required under Ontario’s Planning Act before the Planning Board makes a decision. The application is part of the consent process established by provincial regulations for dividing land in the area.
According to the Board’s notice, the proposed severed lot would be about 1.8 hectares in area, with approximately 90 meters of frontage onto Concession 2 & 3. The retained parcel would have an area of about 70.45 hectares. The notice states that the location can be identified on a key map available from the Planning Board.
The Planning Board will consider written and oral comments from the public at the rescheduled hearing. Interested individuals who wish to participate must register with the Town by Monday, October 6, 2025. The application and related details can be inspected during regular business hours at Town Hall on Fourth Avenue.
The Board’s notice also explains that in order to appeal the decision to the Ontario Land Tribunal, a written submission must be made to the Planning Board before the decision is issued.
Further information, including French language details, is available from the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board during regular office hours.
