Public Hearing Set for Proposed Land Boundary Adjustment at 455 Eighth Street in Cochrane

A public hearing to consider a proposed boundary adjustment at 455 Eighth Street in Cochrane is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 171 Fourth Avenue, according to a notice from the Cochrane and Suburban Planning Board.

The hearing will address an application from CGV Developments seeking approval to convey approximately 13,656.39 square meters (1.36 hectares) of vacant land to 455 Eighth Street. Residents who wish to participate in the hearing, either in person or electronically, must register with the Town by Monday, September 8, 2025, as specified in the notice.

According to the notice, approval of the application would result in 455 Eighth Street having a total lot area of about 21,935.4 square meters (2.19 hectares) and 109.4 meters of frontage onto Eighth Street. The remaining land after the adjustment would be approximately 69.98 hectares. The properties involved are legally described as Part Lot 19 and Part Lot 20, Concession 2, Glackmeyer, in the Town of Cochrane.
