Recall Issued for Marie Sharp’s Garlic Habanero Pepper Sauce Due to Spoilage

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Marie Sharp’s brand Original Garlic Habanero Pepper Sauce due to spoilage. According to the CFIA, the recall was initiated following consumer complaints.

The affected sauce is sold nationally, which includes stores and markets in communities across the Northeast, such as Timmins, Kapuskasing, Hearst, and North Bay. The recalled product is:

  • Marie Sharp’s Original Garlic Habanero Pepper Sauce (148 mL)

  • UPC: 7 25448 00125 4

  • All codes where spoilage is visible

The CFIA advises that consumers should not use, sell, serve, or distribute any of the affected product. As of the date of the recall, the CFIA has not received any reports of illness linked to the sauce.

The agency indicates that investigations are ongoing, and further recalls may follow if more information becomes available. The CFIA is ensuring that the recalled product is removed from the market.
