Recall Issued for Pavao’s Pork & Chicken Sausage and Texas Hamburger Due to Undeclared Allergens
Pavao’s Meats & Deli has recalled its Pork & Chicken Sausage (Alheiras) and Texas Hamburger products due to the presence of undeclared soy and milk, according to a notice from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) published on July 18, 2025. The products were distributed in Ontario and include all best before dates up to and including July 10, 2026 for the Texas Hamburger and October 7, 2025 for the Pork & Chicken Sausage.
According to the CFIA, individuals with allergies to soy or milk risk a reaction if they consume these products. The agency advised that people with these allergies should not use, sell, serve, or distribute the affected products.
The recall covers Pavao’s brand Pork & Chicken Sausage (Alheiras), sold in variable weights (approximately 0.540 lb), with UPC codes starting with 0205526 for all best before dates up to and including 25.OC.07. The recall also includes Texas Hamburger 6OZ in both 4.59 kg and 1.36 kg packages, with UPC codes starting with 0201077 and best before dates up to and including 26.JL.10.
The CFIA has classified this as a Class 2 recall, indicating a moderate health risk related to the undeclared allergens. The recall identification number provided by the agency is RA-77744.
