Sewer main flushing Sept. 29–Oct. 3 in Holtyre, Ramore and south Matheson

The Ontario Clean Water Agency will flush sewer mains in Holtyre, Ramore, and the south side of Matheson from September 29 to October 3, 2025, according to a notice from the Township of Black River–Matheson. The notice asks residents to keep toilet lids down during the work.

The township described the operation as “standard fall sewer flushing” required to ensure proper functionality of the municipal sewer system.

The notice lists the townsites of Holtyre and Ramore, and in Matheson only areas south of the railway tracks, as the work locations. Other parts of Matheson were not listed.
