Smooth Rock Falls Committee Approves Reduced Yard Setback for Garage Extension

The Committee of Adjustment in Smooth Rock Falls granted a minor variance on September 2, 2025, to allow a reduced interior side yard setback for a garage extension requested by property owner Patrick Blanchette.

This approval changes the usual setback requirements defined in Zoning By-law 2016-14 and permits Mr. Blanchette to build the garage extension closer to the interior side property line than normally allowed.

The decision was made during a committee meeting held at 6:30 p.m. on September 2, 2025, as published in the official notice from the Corporation of the Town of Smooth Rock Falls.
