Suspect Apprehended in Timmins for Robbery

The Timmins Police Service reported the arrest of a suspect involved in a robbery that took place on March 14, 2025. The robbery occurred in the 500 block of Algonquin Boulevard East, and the suspect was apprehended shortly thereafter in a nearby parking area. The victim described being threatened with a knife, leading to the arrest by the police.

The suspect, identified as Jerome Fireman, aged 18 and a resident of Timmins, is now facing multiple charges. These include three counts of robbery with a weapon, theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a Schedule I substance (opioid), and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Chief of Police Sydney Lecky emphasized that community vigilance and prompt reporting were pivotal in the quick apprehension of the suspect, underscoring the department's commitment to maintaining public safety.
