Timmins closing Frederick House Lake Rd. May 26–Aug. 29 for Moose Creek culvert replacement

The City of Timmins will close Frederick House Lake Rd. near Moose Creek from Monday, May 26, to Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, to replace two culverts. The closure point is just over 1 km east of the Frederick House Lake Rd. and Carrigan Rd. intersection, with detours via Frederick House Lake Rd., Carrigan Rd., and Connaught Rd.

The crossing carries east–west traffic across Moose Creek, and the closure will affect drivers moving between the east and west sides of the corridor. The city announced the schedule in a notice posted May 20 and said the work is prioritized because of the condition of the existing culverts.

The project will replace the two existing culverts with a single corrugated steel culvert that has a larger diameter and a polymer coating for corrosion protection.

Detours will remain in place for the duration of construction, from May 26 through Aug. 29.

In March, Council awarded the contract to MCA Contracting Ltd. at a cost of $766,569.
