Timmins, CUPE Local 1544 reach tentative deal; transit running during ratification

Timmins and CUPE Local 1544 reached a tentative agreement covering all Timmins Transit staff on Sept. 26, according to a city notice. Regular Timmins Transit service will continue while the agreement goes to ratification.

The city posted the update to its website at 6:02 p.m. on Sept. 26. The agreement was reached through collective bargaining.

CUPE Local 1544 represents Timmins Transit drivers, dispatchers and other personnel. Terms of the tentative agreement were not released and will remain confidential until the contract has been reviewed and ratified by both parties.
