Timmins man, 20, charged after weapons call and alleged assault on Crawford Street in South Porcupine
Timmins police have charged Seth Ennis, 20, of Timmins after officers received a Feb. 3 report of a weapon and an alleged assault in the area of Crawford Street in South Porcupine.
The incident led to a temporary closure in the Crawford Street area, which reopened to the public at 11:26 p.m. on Feb. 3, police said.
Police said they obtained a search warrant as part of the investigation and executed it at a residence in the area.
During the search, police found Ennis inside the residence, arrested him and seized two pellet guns, according to the Timmins Police Service.
Ennis is charged with:
- two counts of assault with a weapon
- two counts of uttering threats
- forcible confinement
- two counts of theft under $5,000
- careless use of a firearm
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
- possession of a firearm contrary to order
- possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
- two counts of failing to comply with sentence order
Police said Ennis was held in custody and was scheduled to attend a bail hearing Feb. 4.
