Timmins Nighttime Snow Removal Scheduled for March 30 to April 3

The Public Works Department will conduct nighttime snow removal operations in Timmins from March 30 to April 3, 2025. These operations are set to take place between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. in designated areas.

Nighttime Operating Schedule

  • Sunday, March 30: Operations in Timmins West, covering Shirley, Park, Power, and Joseph streets.

  • Monday, March 31: Activities in Timmins North, focusing on JV Bonhomme, College, and Denise avenues.

  • Tuesday, April 1: Efforts in Timmins North, notably in Westmount (from College to Airport), Suzanne, Lonergan, and Riverpark roads.

  • Wednesday, April 2: Work in Timmins North, involving Maclean, Theriault, and Vimy streets.

Daytime snow removal is also planned from March 31 to April 4, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., following distinct routes.

Changes to the schedule may occur if a winter storm or equipment failure happens. In such cases, plowing may take precedence, and incomplete streets will be addressed during succeeding shifts.

City residents are reminded of bylaw 1993-4162, which prohibits placing snow from private properties onto public roads or sidewalks. Parking restrictions remain in effect during winter maintenance.
