Timmins Police Conduct Drug Warrant Operation, Seize Drugs Valued at Nearly $90,000
The Timmins Police Service executed a search warrant on September 4, 2024, at a residence on Maple Street South. This operation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit with assistance from the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Northeast Drug Enforcement Unit.
During the search, police seized the following drugs:
- Approximately 2,225 methamphetamine tablets
- 132 grams of cocaine
- 705.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 132.9 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
The total estimated street value of the drugs seized is $89,939.00.
As a result of this investigation, Adam Chircowski, 40, of Timmins, has been charged with multiple offenses, including:
- Adult Trafficking in Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamines (Crystal Meth)
- Adult Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Adult Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Chircowski remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on September 9, 2024. The Timmins Police Service continues to address drug-related crime in the community and encourages anyone with information regarding illicit drug activity to report it to the police.
