Timmins Police Investigate Weapons Incident in North End

On March 3, 2024, shortly before 3 AM, the Timmins Police responded to a weapons incident in the North end of town. A male victim was transported to the Timmins and District Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A heavy police presence was observed in the area as the scene was contained by patrol officers. The Ontario Provincial Police K-9 Unit and members of the OPP Emergency Response Team assisted. The investigation has been turned over to the Timmins Police Criminal Investigations section, and the scene is being examined by the Timmins Police Forensic Identification Unit.
