Timmins police say 18-year-old wanted on first-degree murder charge in Fifth Avenue homicide
Timmins police say they have issued a warrant charging 18-year-old Desean Prince Wesley with first-degree murder in the Nov. 5, 2025 shooting death of D’Andre Dearine at 193 Fifth Avenue in Timmins.
Police say they have been unable to locate Wesley and are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
According to the Timmins Police Service, officers went to the Fifth Avenue address on Nov. 5, 2025, for a shooting. Dearine was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds, police said.
In a public appeal posted March 23, Timmins police said their investigation—conducted with help from other police agencies in Ontario—identified Wesley as the accused. Police said the warrant includes the first-degree murder charge and other Criminal Code offences.
Police said Wesley’s last known address is in the Durham region.
Timmins police also released a photo of Wesley as part of the appeal.
