Timmins Pool to Reopen After Repairs

The Archie Dillon Sportsplex Pool in Timmins is set to reopen on Monday, November 18, 2024. The facility had been closed for repairs to its heating and boiler systems. These repairs have now been completed, allowing the pool to resume operations. A temporary swim schedule has been established, effective from November 18 to December 1, 2024, which includes open swims, lap swims, and rental times.

Steph Palmateer, City Clerk and Director of Community Services, acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the closure and noted the importance of the repairs for the safe operation of the pool. Registration for winter swim lessons will commence on December 3, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. Residents can register online through Timmins Recreation Online or by contacting Service Timmins by phone or in person at City Hall.
