Timmins street sweeping May 19–23: schedule and parking restrictions
Street sweeping in Timmins is scheduled overnight May 19–22 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. and during the day May 20–23 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., covering sections of the Connecting Link and neighbourhood routes in Timmins, South Porcupine, Porcupine and Schumacher.
Yellow No Parking signs will be posted for daytime operations; vehicles parked in signed areas will be ticketed and towed. The schedule may change if storms or mechanical issues arise, and any unfinished streets will be completed on the next available shift. Crews will not sweep on routes where waste collection is taking place. Safety signage will be in place around work zones.
Night work runs 9 p.m.–7 a.m. on the following routes:
- Monday, May 19: Connecting Link — Algonquin (Mountjoy to Theriault)
- Tuesday, May 20: Connecting Link — Porcupine — King (Bob’s Lake to Bristol)
- Wednesday, May 21: Connecting Link — South Porcupine — Harold (Crawford to Legion)
Daytime work runs 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m. on these routes:
- Tuesday, May 20: Timmins West — Craig, Lemieux, Lillian, Leonard, Lemoyne, McDuff, School; South Porcupine — William, Cecil, Powell
- Wednesday, May 21: Timmins North — Cedar (Fifth to Ross), Balsam (Fifth to Dead End); South Porcupine — Front, Huot, O’Brian, Broadway, Essa
- Thursday, May 22: Timmins South — Balsam (Second to Ogden), Cedar (Kirby to Ogden), First; Schumacher — Hollinger Lane, Les Hall, Boundary, Aura Lake
- Friday, May 23: Timmins North — Birch (Fifth to Ninth), Maple (Fifth to Ninth); Schumacher — Father Costello, MacIntyre, Lionscrest
Operational priorities are high-density residential areas first during daytime, followed by low-density residential areas. Night work prioritizes highway sections, high-density commercial sections and main arterial routes.
