Timmins street sweeping set for June 16–20 during daytime; towing in posted no‑parking zones
Daytime street sweeping is scheduled in Timmins from Monday, June 16, to Friday, June 20, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Yellow no‑parking signs will mark work areas; vehicles parked in those zones will be ticketed and towed.
The schedule comes from a June 13 notice by the City of Timmins Public Works Department, which also said plans may change because of storms or mechanical issues. Streets not completed will be finished on the next available sweeping shift, and crews do not sweep where waste collection is underway.
Crews will start at 7:30 a.m. each day on the following routes:
- Monday, June 16:
- Porcupine: Bristol Road, New Street
- Timmins North: University, Melrose, Graye, Reg Pope, Mascioli, Logan Kerr
- Tuesday, June 17:

- Friday, June 20:

Public Works outlined priorities for sweeping operations. During daytime shifts, crews focus first on high‑density residential areas (older sections with one‑way or narrow streets), followed by lower‑density residential areas. For night operations, priorities are highway sections, high‑density commercial areas, and main arterial routes.
Public Works also reminded residents to respect safety signage in work zones.
