Timmins to start overnight, city-wide snow plowing at 9:01 p.m. Feb. 11

Timmins Public Works crews are scheduled to begin a city-wide snow plowing operation at 9:01 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, and the work is expected to last all evening and into the day.

For residents, the notice coincides with Timmins’ winter overnight street-parking rules, which restrict when vehicles can be left on the road.

According to the city’s notice, crews will be deployed to plow city streets, rural roads, laneways and parking lots.

Timmins’ Winter Parking Ban is in effect from Nov. 1 through April 30. The city says parking on the street is not permitted between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. on any day during that period.

The city did not provide an expected end time for the plowing operation or the order in which areas will be plowed.
